About the Taste of Stoughton

The Taste of Stoughton started with an idea for a pop up event during the 2019 Madison Area Builders Association Parade of Homes. Crystal Welsh, who was on the MABA Parade of Homes committee spearheaded this event along side Matt Heitmann in 2019 for the MABA. After much debate & review, we discovered Stoughton, WI to having the most unique, single owned restaurants in one town. So was born the Taste of Stoughton.

During our 1st year, we had 10 food vendors one pop & water stand, one band all in the street, welcoming Parade of Home ‘goers’ as they entered the houses. It was a day full of unknowns & turned out to be something bigger than we ever could have imagined.

Fast forward to 2026, we have grown to an event with all Stoughton LOCAL bands, food, business vendors & community vendors. This is our 6th year bringing you the Taste the community marks their calendars for each third Saturday in June. General admission is FREE & all Kid Zone activities are FREE due to our amazing SPONSORS year after year.

Through other non-profits located here in Stoughton, days leading up to the event, the day of event & tear down/clean up are all made possible through our volunteer groups! As part of the gratitude for helping making the day possible, ALL proceeds go back to local non-profits in the community of Stoughton through their NP’s volunteer hours!

Since 2019, the Taste of Stoughton has donated over $19,000 to Stoughton Non-Profit Organizations!
